Dark chocolate...plain, perfect

Mmm definitely dark chocolate bars, with any add-in (nuts, spice, etc.) I'm surprisingly good at just having one or two pieces at a time.

Love really high quality chocolate, but not a chocoholic. I could easily live without it. BUT, when I'm in the mood for some, I really just need a small taste of something really rich and quite dark.

Mostly, my habit is to just break a square off the bar of Valrhona Noir that's stashed in my pantry closet, and take little nibbles that I let melt on my tongue. Ideally followed by a swig from my a glass of cab.

I bought chocolate covered cherries for a Christmas gathering. When I returned home from the store, no one was home. I swear I could hear those things calling my name while I was busy reading my email. I went to the kitchen, opened the box, ate the entire contents, put the empty box at the bottom of the trash bin. No one ever even knew I ever had them. Yes, I love chocolate.

Sometimes only a hunk of pure dark chocolate will do. Other times a fudgy chocolate brownie with a scoop of chocolate ice cream, hot fudge sauce, whipped cream and some fresh raspberries does the trick. The great thing about chocolate is that it's very versatile and loves to please!

Open up a jar of peanut butter and a bag of chocolate chips. Dip a spoon into the peanut butter and then into the chocolate chips. Roll to coat peanut butter with chocolate chips if desired.
Best eaten in one gigantic mouthful.

I like my chocolate baked, thank you very much. I was never the type to crave candies, and would often end up with an uneaten pile of candy after halloween that i'd have to give to my dad b/c they were cluttering up my space. I love to bake this fantastic fudgy chocolate cake with ganache frosting. I make truffles, souffles, ice cream, cookies, muffins. This christmas, along with cookies I made some coconut candies and peanut butter cups and gave those a gifts. Every night a have a nibble of dark chocolate for dessert.

I indulge in chocolate in sooooo many ways. I love a cup (or 2) of steamy hot chocolate with marshmellows on those cold and frosty morns. I also love a good chocolate truffle. I like to take a bite and let it melt in my mouth. My favorite chocolate treat though is sharing a piece of soft, moist, richly chocolate cake with my boyfriend. I think for my next chocolate adventure, I'm gonna head to one of those great bath stores and get some chocolate aroma bubble bath. OH YEAH!

there is a local cafe called bittersweet, and their signature drink is grated dark chocolate melted in hot water and whipped lightly. this is one of my favorite chocolate treats. it is like coating your tongue in a warm chocolate bath. totally amazing.

I just made the epicurious.com chocolate cake recipe that 'they' say is taking the Internet by storm (it's the one where you cook it at 300 degrees for a little over an hour). It was really good - incredibly moist with a great crumb. It didn't even need the ganache frosting!

My favorite way to indulge in chocolate is with a Death by Chocolate sunday. I take triple chocolate ice cream and coat with a chocolate caramel sauce I make, and then add on some chocolate fudge, and finally some chocolate magic shell. Add a little whipped cream to the top and some chocolate Jimmies and you are good to go.
