Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Two Peter Luger Steaks

Even though our favorite cut is a bone in Ribeye, I still dream of the Porterhouse for two we ate at Luger's years ago. I dream of that experience again.

Mom always cooked round steak (big family - no money). As a bachelor (still no money) top sirloin was pretty darn good, I still enjoy the flavor (only if I cook it). My favorite cut of steak is definitely ribeye. I feel that it is the most flavorful cut since it has a good amount of marbling most of the time. Porterhouse is actually my second favorite cut and is usually much leaner, but I don't see many porterhouses in stores around here much it seems. I think people go too crazy for the new york strip steaks for some reason.

Ribeye is my favorite cut for roasting, then tenderloin. And it is nothing but chuck for everything else - stews, braising, curries, and burgers.
