wisconsin eats?

Appleton:
Copper Rock has some great baked goods for breakfast, Katsu Ya for Japanese food, Hu Hot for Mongolian Barbeque, Victoria's for Italian, Franks for Pizza.

Neenah (about 15-20 minutes down 41)
Cy's Asian Bistro has the most amazing Thai food anywhere. I moved from Neenah about a year ago, and still dream of this place. That being said, Boa Ju has great Chinese food.

Hope this helps!

If you like Greek food, definitely check out the Parthenon. And if you have a sweet tooth, Margie's has the best sundaes and homemade candies.

Backpacking Foods

I definitely thought of the whole confiscation thing after I posted this. So I think one thing I might do is make a little recipe book of backpacking recipes and whatnot. They're trying to stay on a tight budget, and I don't think any of them can cook.

National Pi Day Pi Pizza

@dbcurrie, I guess they're moving the Clark location to Northbrook. Which sucks. I use to go to DePaul and loved ordering from there.

There's also a FANTASTIC pizza restaurant in Chicago called My Pi.

New Tazo Tea Lattes at Starbucks: Thanks, But No Thanks

I had the Apple Chai the other day, and it was...Apple Cider with Chai mix. It was pretty good (It made the cider spicier, which was a nice change) but overall it wasn't worth the money.

Baskin-Robbins Turkey Cake

Last year I worked in a warehouse and the day before Thanksgiving they got us a turkey cake from a grocery store. Nobody touched it because we were all afraid it was going to be meat flavored.

Lunch Bag Art for Kids

I use to love when my dad would pack my lunch. He always drew a great Homer Simpson and I was always so proud.

Dentist Will Buy Your Leftover Halloween Candy

I had a friend who's dad was a dentist/orthodontist, and I remember at Halloween the "Halloween Fairy" would come and take his candy and leave a toy in its place.

Soda vs. Pop vs. Whatever: What Do You Call Cola Drinks?

maybe I'm crazy but in Sacramento I always heard it referred to as Coke.
And what about Soda Pop? That's when things get really crazy.

I've lived in three different places, all of which had their own name for it.

California-Coke
Wisconsin-Pop
North Carolina-Soda

Go Dawgs!! Tailigating Food?

pjracz10,

leinenkugel is a Wisconsin brand, but I know you can buy it around the country (I live in NC right now, and we're able to find it). They've got tons of flavors, a lot are seasonal, but if you can find a "Leinie Lodge" I recommend getting it. It's an assortment of their best beers.

For the Pack last year we made beer brats, but used leinenkugel's beer. It was AMAZING.
