Best Banh Mi in NYC
I'll co-sign that. I think it's much better than the highly overrated jewelry store around the corner. Baoguette's isn't bad but I think SVS and Nicky's make the two best. You can check out a pic on my blog

Eleven Madison Park
yeah, I'm finding it hard to believe. Every Meyer restaurant I've been to has been top notch, EMP and Tabla especially. And sometimes instead of dressing up, I'll just throw on True Religions, Nike Dunks and t-shirts or polos. Again, I've never had bad service in any of the many Meyer restaurants that I've been to.....sounds like some player hating going on.
Eleven Madison Park
It really is I had an amazing meal there around Christmas 07.' An awesome piece of steak with bone marrow crust, a lobster winter stew with a hot mace broth poured over the shelled meat at the table, a peanut butter and chocolate tart with sea salt and olive oil, complimentery candy and amuse bouche, great cocktails and an amazing bottle of barolo, the service was five stars and the food was awesome.
my top 5 favorite restaurants in NY
1. Babbo
2. Momofuku Ssam
3. Eleven Madison Park
4. Shopsin's
5. Nobu

Paris bakery, the most authentic? I like them but were talking the Subway of Banh Mi......Case in point, look closely at the menu, Buffalo Chicken and Tuna Salad banh mi???? I don't see any of those offered in Saigon, also they don't actually BBQ the meat there. Not trying to start a banh mi war but I find SVS and even Sau Voi to be the most authentic.
Oh and finally the iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk is so much better almost everywhere.
