RE: Bloody Sausage?
I'm glad you liked it on toast with a poached egg, more or less my suggestion to you.
As a sandwith I'd go with slices of it on multi grain with lettuce tomato and remoulade, Or sun dried tomato garlic mayo, or chipotle mayo. Go a little spicy. Let us know how that works out

Fluffernutter: Massachusetts' State Sandwich?
@ ilovebutter...I guess perhaps youre right... we are from God's country... If God was from a land of toothless circus freaks!
(we are just a little redneck here, and in case you hadn't heard "it's alright to be a redneck")
Of course I was kidding, raised in NH and am damn proud of my state, but a crepe?! I'll give you the maple, either maple butter or syrup... but definitely not a damned crepe. Perhaps a maple glazed donut before a crepe. (but neither are a sandwich)
How about curried oysters with dried cranberries and diced granny smith apple on hearty sourdough?
ALABAMA- That would definitely have to be a Chicken Biscuit.... Damn I love those things!
Making Raspberry Sorbet with Invert Sugar
Invert sugar is also much more hygroscopic than sucrose, so the end product will remain moist for a longer period of time.

When deglazing a pan of onions while making french onion soup, this is an excellent choice as is applejack.
what's for dinner tomorrow night?
Tater tots and pizza rolls, then its off to the cock fights with junior and thelma-lou.
Just kidding, probably something amazing like scrapple sandwiches and chicken wings...

Pffffft!
Step one: find my response to the paula dean has a talk show thread.
Step two: read it!
Step three: insert here.
Step four: repeat as necessary.
Fluff Fest 09, Saturday in Somerville MA
Fluffernutters were good until I discovered fluffernutella sandwiches on chocolate cherry bread!
Suckling Pig Help
I'm pretty sure the last thing on the pigs mind is having dry eyes... So go ahead and leave them in. Be sure to have an eyeball for me. Try spreading the insides of them on garlic toast. Or you could spread the insides of them on your forehead and bark at the moon.
I think the latter would be more entertaining, and might give you first dibs on other more yummy pork parts!
If you like Bloody Mary’s then you will love…
In keeping with the spirit of another thread about beer being a miracle tonic, how about making yourself a "Redeye" 1 beer (preferably a lager or lighter beer) 6 ounces of Clamato juice mix together then add 1 whole egg... Enjoy! That'll put hair on your bippy! And supposedly a great hangover cure.
I prefer plenty of water to keep from bleeding out of my eyes, but if maintaining a buzz is your way of keeping your eyes from looking like two tomatoes in a bowl of buttermilk... Then Cheers, and bottoms up!
Beer: A medical miracle tonic?
I'm not a Doctor, but I would guess that beer is extremely good for helping build a strong liver... My Doctor says
I could drive an iron spike through a railroad tie with mine!
Home Remedies for Sore Throats?
When I was a kid and started to get chest or head congestion, my mom would stir a tablespoon of powdered ginger into hot water with sugar and a little milk as a sort of tea. Trust me when I tell you, this would clean out a sewer pipe! But it did make my brother and I less congested despite tasting like the ass of a dead skunk.
I haven't had it since I was a kid, and just the thought of it to this day will make any head or chest cold run in fear.
Fluffernutter: Massachusetts' State Sandwich?
Hmmmm... NH would have to be squirrel with maple syrup on wonder bread cooked open faced ( cause we're top shelf here)on the exhaust manifold...
Data Visualization: Distances to Nearest McDonald's
146 miles closer than I'd like to be, but it's a good start! I'm approximately 300 yards from a McD's in a town of about 5,000 people! I guess that means I live downtown.
@ kaszeta, I am in NH as well, and was happily without a starbucks within dead cat swinging distance. Then BAM 2 opened up within the last 2 yrs... Bastages!
Mozzarella Stick-Topped Burger from Red Robin
Christ on a pony! Where do I begin, I love the terms they use for the shit on these so called burgers. Mozzarella?!, the only thing Mozz about these things is the name! Marinara sauce?? is it really? Probably didn't use a recipe I'd recognize. Pepperoni, hmmmm.... using no doubt some awful packaged hormel or similar miracle pepperoni. I say miracle, cause it's a friggin miracle anyone believes this shit is pepperoni!
Nah... I'll save my money and buy a superball to chew on instead... and it'll be a REAL superball!
Falafel - trying to make them at home...
The salt may have been used as a drying agent and thus the reason it is being listed as an ingredient on the package.
As far as what you will be serving them with as far as sauce goes, feel free to serve them with whatever you like and don't limit yourself on the possibilities (I like mine with spicy peanut sauce) unless of course you are trying to be more authentic. Otherwise put out several small bowls of "dips".
Pumpkin Recipes
I rarely use recipes but when I make pumpkin soup here is roughly what I do.
Get yourself a couple of small pie pumpkins, peel and seed (brown the seeds up for garnish later, cut up and bake the seasoned and olive oil coated pumpkin until slighly browned in a single layer on a sheet pan lined with alum foil or parchment.
Meanwhile in a stock pot add some butter, mirepoix, and season. When the mirepoix has browned slightly, add chicken stock maybe a quart plus a bouquet garni of 1 bay leaf thyme, and parsley then let stock come to a simmer.
Add the pumpkin pieces and let them come back up to temp (10 mins. or so) if they have cooled down at all and puree with a stick blender after removing the bouquet (or put into blender or food processor).
To finish just add a little heavy cream (a few tablespoons) and swirl once with a spoon for sort of a ying-yang effect and add toasted pumpkin seeds as a garnish. I try to make this several times a winter and it always goes over well, it is a soup that lends itself nicely to sweet (add brown sugar and nutmeg), savory (as described here) or spicy (black peppercorns and crushed red pepper) with the addition of this or that.
Really, let yourself go.... you nor anybody else could mess this recipe up. Go with your taste buds, it'll be a nice and tasty ride.

Watch It with Us: 'Top Chef Las Vegas,' Ep. 6
I would love to deconstruct whomever the F*#! Came up with deconstructing dishes! How about make a dish the best you can' the way it was supposed to be made, and stop making up shit to cover up your shortcomings as a cook! Damn I hate that shit!
Grape Nuts
I keeeeed I keeeed.... I actually love grapenuts and understand that if put in an iron lung soaked in lye, put under a hydaulic press and thrown into an atom smasher they will actually soften up.... but the pudding is pretty damned good.
Paul Deen has new talk show Mom Logic. Did anyone go to taping?
I'm sorry.... why would I watch this again?! No food, and two obnoxious personalities jockeying for air time... It'll be like watching two monkeys trying to F#@$ a football!
I'll go one futher... I'd rather watch two monkeys try to F#@% a football!
