The 'Pizza Strip': Indigenous to Rhode Island

In Upstate (Capital district) NY, Tomato Pies are served hot and they're round... for the most part. Cold tomato pie sounds more like stoner's delight than anything I'd voluntarily grab from a bakery.

Cook the Book: 'Mrs. Rowe's Little Book of Southern Pies'

Flopping THREE of my grandma's 7-Up Pound Cakes, an incident that is now so delicately referred to by my mother as 7-Up Ton Cake Day.

Stroopwafels for Queen's Day

Fresh ones are amazing. Wandering around most outdoor markets you'll find at least one stand making them to order.

Cook the Book: 'Tacos'

I moved to Denver about a year ago from the northeast. Right away I started a quest for great Mexican and was lucky enough to find a spot two blocks from my house. Double wrapped carne asada tacos for $2.50 a pop are a must for me and my friends at least once a week. The bottomless homemade chips and salsa and $1.75 margaritas on the weekends don't hurt either.

World's Largest Private Lean Cuisine Collection?

looks all too familiar- my mother is a coupon hound and their basement looks like an emergency shelter of some sort. The freezer in the garage is slightly more varied, but just as full of sale items. 6 bags of frozen ravioli, really mom?
