Question of the Day: Do you have food allergies?

I have a shellfish allergy -- no mollusks (clams, oysters, mussels, etc). Luckily, I guess, it is not a life-threatening respiratory issue, just a day-wrecking gastrointestinal horror.

Where to find Dry Monterey Jack cheese?

I'm in the D.C. area, and the only place I have seen dry jack is at the Cowgirl Creamery. Cowgirl has stores on both coasts and also does mail order. Good luck!

Do you know how to use chopsticks?

In 7th grade when we learned about Asia, we were given extra credit if we could eat our lunch with chopsticks. I had used them before, but I got really good at that point.

Recently, I tried to teach my great-aunt how to do it, and she had no success. As with almost everything else, maybe it's just easier to learn when you are young.
