What's Up With Eggo?

I just bought some eggo's yesterday, and was standing in front of the case for a while looking for the classic one, I was stunned by how many choices there were. I haven't had one yet, but might go pop one in the toaster now.

Proud Cooking Moments

I think it was my 2nd or 3rd time making homemade croissants. They just turned out perfectly and looked like something you would get out of a bakery and were even light and airy. Haven't been able to replicate it since then, but that's okay.

Table Manners III: Do you eat European or American-style...

If I am using a knife it is the Euro style for me, every now and then I try the American style just cannot do it. Not sure why either as I am the only one in my family who eats food that way.

Whats Your Banana IQ?

I saw some banana's at my local farmer's market a couple of weeks ago, was really close to buying some but at $2/lb. I said no, which was funny, b/c that isn't too bad, but they are always under a $1 at the store.

Indiana Jones Crisp-Mint M&Ms: Meh

I have been on the hunt for both the m&m's and snickers bar, but have not found them anywhere!! Will continue to search, hopefully I will find them this weekend. My husband thought it was quite funny last night as I was going to a few different stores looking for them

Grilling Smackdown: Lump Charcoal vs. Briquettes

I am all for briquettes, but mainly because the last time we had lump charcoal it firecraked, and little bits came out and landed right inbetween my toes, not fun.

food processors anyone?

I have the 7 cup Cuisinart that was $100 on sale at Macys, it works great, I also have the small one which I love. But I must admit that if I can ifnd a really good price on the 11 or 14 cup one I would buy it.

Back to your question Cuisinart works really well and will last a long time, the 7 cup is a really good buy at $100 and is able to do most things with no problems.

Too funny, I just watched this last night!! It was a silly movie, although off food topic, I loved that he named his sons Walker and Texas Ranger (T.R. for short).

Charcoal Grill or Gas Grill

We have both, the standard Weber charcoal grill and another gas grill. We use them both, charcoal mainly on the weekends, as it does take a bit longer to get going then the gas one.

Shipping wine from Europe?

I would think that the easiest way, if you are going to vineyards would be to have them ship it back for you. But I am not sure of state/fed laws to do so. I tried to ship wine to Europe to a colleague and I couldn't find anyway to do so. Try a google search on wine importers, you should be able to find out something, good luck :)

What did you have for dinner?

We had Hot and Spicy Beef over rice and green beans. The last time my husband made this was on our second date, he made it so hot that I thought I was going to die, this time it really wasn't spicy at all. So I think we will have to prepare again and find the happy medium between the two.

TV chefs and black pepper

No I do the same thing and have wondered about that as well. I always end up putting if not equal to salt then pretty close when I cook, but I also like pepper.
