I just made this and it's extraordinary! And the instructions are fantastic - I followed them precisely and got perfect results. This would be lovely as one ingredient in a British-style pudding as well.

I LOVED Tastespotting - it was the only recipe/food site I checked more than once a day and somehow its 'tastes' matched my own beautifully. It also introduced to wonderful food blogs I didn't know existed - a great 'filter' of sorts. Copyright arguments aside, if someone knows exactly why the site shutdown, can they please post? Someone hinted that it was not copyright, but do they know what the issue was? Clearly the site was well-loved and if others are eager to fill the gap, we all stand the best chance of it succeeding if we know how to do it better next time!
