I make a similar sauce with this big jar o goodness "Coriander Chutney" from Patal Brothers. Mix it with Greek yogurt and you're done.

Sloppy, Overcooked Burgers at The General Greene

I've had the burger twice, both times rare and I have to say, other than a bit too much salt, that it was delicious. Considering your before and after burger descriptions someone wasn't pleased with your reorder.

I don't think I ever send anything back at a restaurant and its hard to say that I ever will, mostly because I don't think its worth the aggravation or the wasted food. And because I'm a wimp.

I've been to the Lexington ave location twice, both times I remember being very pleased.

Great taste and cooked perfectly at medium rare. I believe they have truffle oil fries which are delicious.

I want to make clear that I'm not arguing that Bistro has the 'best' burger. I just love the experience when I go there. The cozy back room, the large cheap eats, and of course the alcohol. I've had plenty of tasty burgers that came with lousy dining experiences. If all I wanted was a delicious burger I'd stay home and give myself a meat facial.

Anyway its hard to give that best burger answer. If I was tortured in a guillotine I'd have to say I really loved Resto's burger though haven't had it in a while [ I've got to head to Irving Mill soon ].

Le Creuset—already stained

my enameled cast iron did stain pretty early on [ i have one Calphalon and one Lodge]. I don't feel like the finish is damaged in any way though and i love using them for stews, bread, soup, frying, almost anything. I'm sure the Le Creuset is much better quality but i don't need it. Sure the outside chips but i dont cook with the outside of the pot. spent maybe 60 on the Calphalon and 45 on the Lodge on amazon. Well worth the savings since i won't need another one for a long time.

While its true that you can get an 'old' dull tasting bistro burger, I rarely do as I prefer my bistro burger rare. I believe that to meet my demands for blood they must cook my burger from the start. So in a way I suppose everyone is right, the bistro burger is both dull and unremarkable and bold and perfect, depending on how brave you are.

I also have to add that I would only do this for a thin slider-type burger. Freezing does not lend well to any other style. Maybe boiled. Ha.

Michael Schlow Cooks the Schlow Burger on 'Nightline'

I really doubt he cooks it for 6 minutes on the grill if hes finishing it in the oven, AND I have to say personally using 9 ounce patties, I never have a dried out burger on the grill. I would be interested in that medium rare pink from top to bottom though.
