Learn About Canned Mandarin Oranges at the NYC Food Film Fest Closing Ceremony Tonight

In case you missed the festival, the mandarin orange film is online here: http://player.omroep.nl/?aflID=8598402

It's mostly in Dutch, but the sections in the Spanish and Chinese processing plants are in English. You can figure out what they are talking about in the Dutch science-lab segments pretty easily - although you might not want to know!

Good Guide gives most canned mandarin orange products a ~5:

ps. after you watch it, search Google images for 'Ontstopper', translates as 'plunger' - it's liquid plumber!

Dinner Tonight: Steamed Mussels in Coconut Milk

We added a little diced chilli at the end too... Delicious!

BTW: Correct the recipe, step 2:

Beignets in New York City?

FYI... Mama's Mudsliders CLOSED on Dec 7, 2008.

We marked it down for a beignet fix during our trip to NYC from England after reading this post.

But were sad to see the note in the window saying that had closed the day before. All the neighbours said they had great beignets.

Let's hope 'Mama' starts up again!
