NBC Cancels 'The Chopping Block'

It never made sense to me for NBC to make this show; they already have the best cooking competition show out there in Top Chef (Bravo is part of NBC)... I guess they got greedy.

Flattening Chicken Breasts?

Put between 2 layers of plastic wrap, smack with (full, unopened) wine bottle to desired thickness. Just make sure to work the meat evenly. You don't need to hit it that hard, the weight of the bottle does most of the work for you.

It seems like it'd be easier to cook the bottom first then the top. I think I'll try it on my gas grill and then throw it under the broiler to finish.
