Quit doing free demo research for them. Let them continue teh fail. The interwebs are less bottom-line driven; the info is out there. Screw fn. And shame on SE for shilling for every other show they broadcast. Let's stick to what's important. Those who are on the internets and want pron know where to find it. Sheesh.

Cook the Book: 'Second Helpings of Roast Chicken'

Use: Olive oil, salt. Bacon also has a very hard time going bad in my house.
Waste: Cilantro, parsley (the bunches are huge!). Other herbs I find an excuse to use up since they're more expensive.

Cook the Book: 'Fat'

Every option that occurred to me has been mentioned. (Catch-alls like "bacon grease in everything" did in a lot of options.) It's harder to think of what's _not_ good when fat is integral to its preparation. Watermelon? Chewing gum??

The Most Disgusting School Lunches

The food was uniformly terrible. We'd have "spaghetti" one day and on the next would be pizza. I was ecstatic seeing the pizza as it seemed possibly tasty and thoroughly edible. To my horror I discovered that the crust was constituted entirely of the previous day's "spaghetti" dried out and baked hard. Horrendous. At least they spared us by not then making a soup of the "pizza".
