May is National BBQ Month: Who serves it up best?

Goode Company is my favorite Houston place for ribs, brisket, and jalapeno pork sausage.

During Thanksgiving, you can drop off your own turkey and they'll smoke it for you. I recall that they charged around $20(?). I've done it a couple of times and it is delicious. They'll slice and bone it for you or you can ask to get back it whole and uncut. Save time and impress the family and relatives with something different.

Best Indian Food Cookbook?

Thumbs up on Madhur Jaffrey. I have one of her books and her dishes are very good. Also, if you are in a pinch for time and can't cook from scratch, her pre-made sauces in a jar are quite good.

Nut-Free Pesto

I make a version nut-free pesto using extra virgin olive oil, lots of fresh garlic, cracked sea salt, and either cilantro or parsley. Cilantro is my preference.

Perhaps this isn't a true pesto without the nuts and the parmesan cheese but it tastes fantastic on fish and pasta.
