there has to be either watermelon juice or butter from corn on the cob running down my arm before its officially summer...

i love the taste of tomotoes.. cant handle the squish, so i squeeze "the guts" out first

then there are two ways:
a. loads of mayo (i noticed the trend) on toast with thin as i can get slices of tomatoes, salt and peppered...
b. caprese style with a thick hunka mozz. cheese, fresh basil, olive oil and of course the tomato

its summer between two slices of bread...

i saw them there about a week ago and my first thought was....... yuck.... not a fan at all

i have to say... i was in Ft. Myers in November and while the area was very lovely and enjoyed my stay, i dont remember ANYTHING that we ate... well maybe the key lime pie ;) Not even the seafood stands out in my mind.. i remember being discouraged by this... BUT dont think i am a debbie downer!!! I would go back there tomorrow! make sure you go to sanibel island.... its wonderful there...

that ice cream sounds delicious! i may try it when im happy lol

big ol' steaks on the grills, some garlic burgers, a sweet potato salad, corn on the cob with dill butter, and the usual "snacks" .. and beer... lots and lots of beer. OH and a big batch of "skip and go nakeds"-beer, vodka, and frozen lemonade in large quantities.. real classy...;)

my favorite things to make are mountain pies... ... we make pizza, taco, apple, and cherry pies.. nothing fancy but really, its camping...

not really much of a recipe, just throw two slices of white bread with whatever filling you want inside the pie iron... my fav. is the "pizza"
just let it cool before you try and put the molten cheese in your mouth ;)

i am a teacher also so i cant escape the cafeteria food.... i also teach in the elementary school that i attended soooo its like relieving childhood everyday

marchpane- we had the plastic pouches when i was in elem. school also! but they didnt last long after many stabs and leaks...

mondays are always chicken-nuggets, patties, who knows what...
thursdays are always a pasta- spaghetti or our school districts infamous "macaroni milanese" which is pretty much like goulosh
friday is still pizza day and is actually kind of tasty! they also occasionally have "italian dunkers" which are buns with cheese baked on top to be dipped in sauce... great way to use wednesdays left over hoagie buns...

i've noticed though that they make such a stink about school lunches being healthy and we are no longer allowed cupcakes for the kids birthdays or tiny little Smarties for a reward but they still serve nachos made of questionable cheese and meat, and hot dogs weekly?

i'm a fan of the frosty's and fries, its the sweet and salty thing..also chips and ice cream...

my fiance caught me eating dry ramen last night.. he was disgusted...

and ranch dressing on pizza..

and i've been known to put franks red hot on just about everything... its a sickness i think...

i am no longer a college student (sadly) and i agree with stacy snacks.. who doesnt love pizza!? my tastes might have changed in the few years i have been out of college but if someone threw Domino's green pepper and onion pizza in my face, i wouldnt throw it back... one of my fav. memories from college is ordering one of those with my best friend and drinking beer and BS'ing...
