Where are you going to get your turkey for Thanksgiving?
Fresh turkey from Hirsch's Meats in Plano, Texas. It's supposed to be very yummy!
Metal lunchboxes pack plenty of nostalgia...
My favorite lunchbox of all time was my metal Walton's one. For some reason, I loved that show. I had a new lunchbox every school year, but only remember the Waltons one.
What is your favorite potato salad mix-in?
Pickle juice instead of vinegar (dill is best) and celery seed instead of chopped celery.

I made this Saturday night and it was awesome!
Turkey & Rice Casserole
5 T butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 med. onions, diced
3 c. diced, cooked turkey
1 c. stuffing
3 T fresh parsley, minced
1/2 t. fresh thyme (I used dried)
Salt & freshly ground pepper
1 c. long-grain rice
2 c. chicken or turkey stock, hot
Preheat oven to 375. In 4-qt casserole, melt 4 T butter over medium heat and saute garlic and onions until transparent, about 5 min. Add turkey, stuffing and herbs and season to taste with salt and pepper. Melt remaining 1 T butter in a pan, add the rice and saute over medium heat until it is transparent. Stir the rice and hot broth into the casserole. Cover and bake for 25 min, until the rice is tender. Uncover and bake 15 more min. Makes 6-8 servings.
