Serious Eats: mchow's Profile

I just took my good friend out for their birthday to 11 Madison for dinner and it was phenomenal! We had the five course winter tasting menu. The only thing is that they are serving their economy menu of a 2 course prix fixe for $28. If my friend was taking me out BIG style I would suggest looking into the following restaurants to see if lunch is served: Daniel, Per Se, Masa and Cafe Boulud. I did the lunch at Ko- it was great, but I think I would prefer a seat to a stool after close to 3-4 hours of eating and drinking.

Roasted suckling baby pig from a chinese restaurant. The meat was still warm and the skin was crispy. I would dipped the skin with honey. It was delicious!

Grocery Ninja: Sticky, Caramelly, Stroopwafels

The Chelsea Market Basket store sells the Tregroes waffle brand from UK. They had samples of the new caramel waffle covered with mint dark chocolate flavor. If you love dark chocolate, mint and stroopwafels, you'll definitely love this. They also sell the regular caramel waffel and milk chocolate covered ones.

They were having a 20% off sale on the cookie which were originally priced at $5 a box. I bought a few for myself and some for friends. I plan to have mine over a cup of peppermint tea.
