Doughnut Burger Coming to Mosdo?

I don't know about the doughnut burger, but I love the macaroni and cheese pastry at Mister Donut. It's a flakey puff pastry shell filled with a light egg noodle mac & cheese. Amazing!!!

A White Castle Wedding

I finally tried White Castle last week, because I was in St. Louis for a family reunion. I was SO disappointed!! The lower bun was flat-out wet, and there are few things that gross me out more than saturated bread. The patty had no flavor and looked like a thick slice of lunchmeat. Too bad, because I had high hopes that it would at least taste good. Totally bland.

McDonald's Cheeseburger vs. McDouble vs. Double Cheeseburger

Even though it is a bit sad, I kind of love the regular McDonald's cheeseburger. It's simple, small and a nice treat or hangover fix (for hangovers, you need two). It's just one of those childhood flavors that still taste good, like tuna casseroles and PB&J.

This grosses me out more than you know. It's not even about the health factor (I mean, anyone who would even consider this isn't thinking about health). Just the idea of glaze on my cheeseburger - UGH. The texture, the sweetness...hold on, I think I'm gonna barf!

The Next Food Network Star - are we watching?

Not watching. But laughed when, in the previews, Bob Cushman says, "This is going to change one of your lives FOREVER!" Bob, more like 5 minutes, like Amy from last year and Dan/Steve from the first year. How can FoodNetwork seriously promote this show as life changing to the winner? But then again, that whole Jag/Amy incident from last year was a complete set-up, so the show creators clearly take us for idiots.

Key Lime Pie Recipe

I second Ina Garten's recipe. I made it once in mini, ready- made pie shells so everyone had their own, and it cuts the freezing time by half. So easy and SO DELICIOUS!! And no baking required. :)

Tiny's Giant Sandwich Shop

Isn't it hard to find a well-executed sandwich? So when can find a place with more than a couple, it's a keeper! So many places just mindlessly pile on ingredients with no thought to taste or texture; this place looks like it got it right. That said, I think crab cake sandwiches rarely succeed...too much breading, or mush, or both.
