'Food Network Magazine' Lists the Best Burgers in the Country

While I concur with the consensus here that this list needs to be revised I went out last weekend to try the original Frita Burger at El Rey De Las Fritas anyway.

The Frita burger is really good and quite interesting being made with beef and chorizo topped with fried potatoes and onions on cuban bread. If you are a Floridian or just a tourist, make your way to little Havana and try the Frita burger. I was happy I did.

But I still slate Le Tub #1.

Any Good New York Style Pizza in Miami?

Mauro Pizza [by the Slice] in Hollywood.

It's a little bit north of Miami, but there is a great beer bar next door called PRL that you can hit at the same time.

Inline with phauxtoe's comment to Adam: "You guys do an outrageous Job! I love your site." ...DITTO

AHT brings much joy to my life as well. Due to my infatuation with the blog I have spiked the curiosity of some of my non-culinary interested and non-hamburger fanatic friends to take more interest in my mission to find the tastiest burgers.

Unfortunately, my job has had me so busy the last 2+ months that I only take a break to scan through AHT every week or so. But I can say that since I have been on the road over this same duration in Louisville, KY, I have eaten burgers at Kaelin's, Jack Fry's, Proof on Main (bison burger), and 301 Bistro. Each of which has it's own story for another day.

Everywhere else I dine at seems to have a well described burger on their menu, but I try to limit myself to one a week. Any suggestions to streamline my efforts would be appreciated.

New York Post Slams City's Beloved Burgers; New York Times Disses Cheeseburger Spring Rolls

Shake Shack got a quick glimpse tonight on Law & Order: Criminal Intent on the USA Network...I'm talking about an extremely quick glimpse. The episode actually guest stars Neil Patrick Harris. The scene I am referencing is at a Shake Shack green table and then a moving shot focused at the end of the silver hangover roof at the burger pickup area showing the word "SHAKE". No clear identification, but I'm certain it was SS. I'm not sure if it's a re-run or not.

Just thought I'd highlight the Shake Shack on TV. The episode is called "Want": http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0629600/

Dear AHT: The All-In Burger at Red Hot & Blue in Dallas, Texas

Kirk, Thanks for the tips. I work from home and our company office is out in Dallas. I have been trying to make a short list of places near Irving/DTW area to hit when I'm there and this one looks great.

Burger King Employee Takes Bubble Bath in Store Sink

Complete idiot...Obviously planned out. He apparently needs some serious attention. Too bad no one called the cops while he was washing up...That would have been a much better video.

Rachael Ray's Burger Bash Competitors Revealed

I was wondering the same thing..being a south Floridian. I just figured it out. The deal is that this is for the New York Food & Wine Festival (http://www.prweb.com/releases/2008/08/prweb1200644.htm). The South Beach Food & Wine Festival (http://www.sobewineandfoodfest.com/2008/tickets.php) is in February, where Radius won last year. I wasn't aware that Rachel Ray hosts both...now I know. (...and knowing is half the battle.)

Alan Richman's Top Five New York Burgers

If Shake Shack is #1 and Meridien is #4, I don't have to go back to big apple for a while. I love to read anyone's list and like the story telling, but I think we need a re-count...Alan?

Hamburger America: Joe's Cable Car

Great to see slices of HAMBURGER AMERICA... I picked up (the must have) book about a week and a half ago and funny enough I read this excerpt earlier today. Yeah, Yeah. I know. I should be much farther in by now…I’m savoring it.

So what about the price @ Joe’s! You get what you pay for these days. I haven't been to Joe's yet, but can't wait 'til the day. My recent travels have brought me to quite a few joints though. Radius in Boston, $17, and I will say mighty tasty. The copper pot of fries really did it for those of us into presentation. And the horseradish really added to the burger. Definitely a thumbs up for me. Last Friday I tried to do 3 burger stops in NYC while on route to Shea. I finished 2 and a half and was quite disappointed. Shake Shack lived up to the rep except for the dweebs in front of me who ordered 30+ for their entire floor at work. brgr sucked. The bar stool chairs were rad. But I'll never be back. And Corner Bistro was a letdown. Cheap beer, but I won't become a patron anytime soon.

Sorry for the ramble...but it is a blog site. Anyway, back to the price thing. Every time I go to Le Tub I always spend over 40 for my part of the check. But that definitely has something to do with the wait and the need to continue to quench my thirst with cans of beer.

Moral to the story = cry to someone else about your wallet...you'll get no love here.

Did Robb Walsh Find the Best Burger in Texas?

You people are why I love A Hamburger Today. I was so hungry when I first saw that luscious blue basket.

My friends and family have appreciation, but not the deep rooted passion I find here. The only mistake I've made on my burger endeavors has been not to take pictures to share the wealth.

Ad for Burger Cooker

Contrary to the Grub Street author's rips, I like this CL post, but I guess they did too? ...Or did they. I haven't had the privilege of partaking in my favorite carnivorous habit at any of the 3 spots noted, but if you're from the area and serious about burgers...and want this job, you should know. As for the degree comments, I see nothing wrong with being educated, sanitary, and understanding proper food presentation. Of course you don't need a degree to satisfy any of these examples, but, that'll be your case to argue when submitting your own resume. Whether you agree with me and NETFLIXNEWYORK or the original Grub Street writer, it's an authentic Craigslist post and the reason the site works. Great find Adam!

In New Brunswick, New Jersey, Stage Left Makes Burgers from Steak Scraps

Excellent Cheeseburger. One of the top 5 that I've eaten so far in my 29 years. The one catch when I was there, was that they would only serve/sell you a burger from the bar...as it is a nicer eatery.

Somerville, Mass.: R. F. O'Sullivan & Son

...sounds like this Bostonian is frozen over from the recent snow. I do agree that they don't have the best burger ever, but Sullivan's is worth a stop.

Nowhere I've tried yet can touch Le Tub though...I'd say Father's Office and Stage Left have been the closest so far.

What's your opinion on Mr. Bartley's?
