Sticky Spaghetti Noodles
If saving them for later, or using in a cold salad, run the cold water over them like yayfood suggested. If eating them hot and immediately, I run the hot water over them so the butter still melts!

Do you have a recipe you won't share?
I share all except for my famous chocolate chip cookies . . .
Sticky Spaghetti Noodles

Buttermilk substitute
I always do the milk and vinegar - I've recently heard that plain yogurt is another subsitute, but would probably be better in dressings and other dippy type things; I used it soda bread recently and it did not work at all.
What time do you eat dinner?
7:30 - immediately following jeopardy!
Cook the Book: 'Kneadlessly Simple'
favorite yeast bread - sullivan street no-knead.
Valentine's Day Giveaway: Macarons from Itzy Bitzy Patisserie
nutella. and chocolate. predictable, but there's nothing better for valentine's day.
New Jersey Dispatch: Celebrating Burns Night with Haggis in Kearny
You can get haggis through the mail from the scottish gourmet; my father orders it every year at christmas. I do believe, however, that it comes in a can.
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Two Peter Luger Steaks
Ribeye if someone else is paying, Flank if it's me who is footing the bill.
Jeeves, and the Art of Curing the Hangover
McDonalds with a coke. Never fails.
Cook the Book: Jamie at Home
Jamie's Shin Stew - mouthwateringly delicious, plus easy-peasy. Has hints of cinnamon and rosemary which warms you up on a cold day. I add parsnips to mine as well. Sooooo good.
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Two Peter Luger Steaks
ribeye from a fancy place, flank if it's from the supermarket!
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Southside Market Sausage
Smokin' Al's, in Bay Shore, New York - sooooo good. Who knew you could find good 'que on Long Island?

Another for the Pioneer Woman's Sweet Potatoes!
Cook the Book: 'Martha Stewart's Cooking School'
Mrs. Millman's chocolate frosting. Easy, delicious, and no butter or cream cheese (I don't think either one belongs in frosting)!

Pioneer Woman Sweet Potatoes - the best!
Win a Free Organic D'Artagnan Turkey Here!
Pioneer Woman's Sweet Potatoes, because they are EXACTLY the same as my mom's world (okay, LOCALLY) famous Sweet Potatoe Casserole.
Cook the Book: 'Barefoot Contessa Back to Basics'
rye party bread spread with a combination of minced onion, mayo, and kraft parmesan cheese, and put under the broiler. sounds disgusting, but even the pickiest eaters can't get enough of them.
Best apple for pie?
Northern Spy - the best, although not a newer variety - an heirloom. Grandma used them over a 100 years ago. I've always used them as well. Hands down best.
There's Nothing Fab About Prefab, Premade Drink Mixes
I've tried Stirrings - they're not bad, although I would refrain from ones like "Mojito" - half the fun is getting mint stuck between your teeth. But when having a crowd, and you want a drink that is a little bit fancier, a high quality mix is a good option (I like the Lemon Drop best!).
Photo of the Day: Oscar's Adirondack Smoke House
Bacon is extra smokey and delicious - but I wouldn't call it a "resturant" - it's a butcher's.
