I'm obviously also excited about my Nom Nom Nom panel. However, very sadly SXSW doesn't allow outside food into the convention center, so we can't give out free cupcakes (I didn't know that when I put that in). Boo. But...we are planning a cupcake party for sometime during SXSW. Stay tuned to Cupcakes Take the Cake (and we'll let Serious Eats know too of course) for details once it's all booked.

Please do come to Nom Nom Nom though! I think it's a varied panel, with 2 bloggers with book deals and we'll be sharing what we know about how to run a food blog.

I tend to eat Fage 2% fat yogurt, and usually add flaxseed, wheatgerm, and sometime vanilla protein powder. I love all these suggestions though!

As one of the editors of Cupcakes Take the Cake, I try very hard to attribute everything we publish, largely from our Flickr pool or Creative Commons photos on Flickr, and ask when I'm not sure.

I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. It doesn't make sense to me because it's easy to find out that someone's content is repurposed, so why do it?

I'm gonna have to say Whole Foods too; I don't go there for everything (too pricey) but I often go there to graze from their salad bar. I am a lazy shopper and like their pre-made stuff that I can just grab and eat. I always wind up buying way more than I meant to. Though Trader Joe's is coming in a close second these days.

What's Your Take on Cake Ice Cream?

I haven't had the Ben & Jerry's Cake Batter ice cream, but last weekend I was in Atlanta at Irwin Street Market and had the pleasure of tasting red velvet cake ice cream from Jake's Ice Cream and OMG. It was beyond delicious - the vanilla ice cream was a very creamy, rich perfect one and the cake had big chunks and tasted fresh, not overly soggy. I had gone there specifically to try a cupcake bakery called Sweet Pockets and wound up simply wanting more ice cream!
