@betteirene, no, I have not had the salmon sandwich at Safeco--I've not been back to Seattle in many years, and if it's baseball season the next time I go back, Safeco is my first stop.

I have a soft spot for stadium nachos--I won't eat them anywhere else, but get me some chips with processed spicy cheese and I'm good to go. As long as there's beer.

Orange Julius!! Wow haven't thought about them in years--when I was a young'n, I used to love the display of faux oranges under glass at the one in my local mall. I just Googled and found two of them near me...am I going to rock a Julius tomorrow? The answer is yes.

I love eating alone, and also bring something to read. It's very relaxing for me. It's also nice because I'm a slow eater and I get to take my time without other people trying to hurry me along.

Only once have I encountered trouble with service, and it wasn't even really bad, just kind of funny--the hostess and servers at one restaurant were incredulous that I was actually by myself and not waiting for someone. And when I ordered my meal, another server brought it to my table split onto two plates and set the other one in the place opposite me. When I told him that I was alone, he said, "...What?"

Heh.

I eat many meals alone--I especially love going to restaurants alone so I can have a leisurely meal and devour a good book too. I also make many meals at home alone, varying from sandwiches or scrambled eggs to kitchen disasters experiments.

The best thing about cooking and eating alone at home is that I'm the only one who has to endure my occasional spectacular kitchen failure!
