Raising the Bar: Finding Venice in Chinatown at Bacaro

I had Bacaro's spaghetti nero a few nights ago. Looks good right? Well, it's not. I love the atmosphere. However, not a fan of the food - especially the pasta. The best squid ink pasta I had was, strangely enough, in Mmabatho in South Africa...pure deliciousness. Perfection. Having said that, I absolutely love Bacaro's risi e bisi. I can't agree more that one cannot go wrong with this dish. I love how your pic captures its creamy unctuous umami-ness.

The Redhead: Thursdays to Every Day, One Chef's Path

I just went last night with my grandparents. Fried chicken was delicious. It's now $17. Everything was pretty good. My grandfather's boyfriend loved the shrimp and grits.
