We purchased a new oven last year, and after much research settled on a Kitchen Aid Architect gas and convection oven. So far we have been very pleased with it. We were not sure how often we would be using the convection feature, but we use it all the time. The 100 degree bread proof setting is also very handy. The other thing that it has that we weren't sure we would use that often was the thermometer probe. You enter a temperature and the oven alerts you when the desired temperature is reached. While we have only used it a handful of times it is actually pretty nice to have.

Yes, I have cooked a Martha recipe before. I made lamb and cous cous, and some other things - generally I like her recipes.

I used to be a sucker for the Hersey special edition Reese's Cups. I do have a soft spot for peanut butter cups, and when they first started coming out with those special editions I generally would try them - but now the limited edition candy at the grocery check out seems over used and the limited edition flavors aren't that great.

I like to cook with Gruyere (or provolone) for a melty cheese finish to many a dish. I sometimes like Parmigainao Reggiano (shaved not shredded or grated) on salads and other stuff to add a sharp taste. But mostly I prefer the creaminess of Gruyere or provolone.

I like the no-knead bread posted last year by Bittman. I have a batch resting as I type for tomorrow. It is the BEST bread I've ever made at home and the easiest!

We have the artisan for about 3 years now and it has never failed us. We use it for everything from cookies to pizza dough. We have started making a lot more bread since we purchased it because it is much easier than kneading the dough by hand. I have never had a situation where the artisan seemed to small or weak to handle the job.
