one night when I was in college, my best guy friend and I were wandering the hallways stoned when we walked past a dorm room where the door was open. Inside was three HUGE clear recycling bags of bagels. We both walked past the door by about five feet before we stopped and looked at each other to make sure we weren't seeing things, and then back tracked and peeked inside the room again. There was a girl sitting on her computer surrounded by these bags. She looked up and we asked her where she got the bagels, she explained that she had just come from a fund raiser where Panera had donated the food and these were the left over the bagels....did we want a bag? so we crashed back into my friends dorm room with a bag of about 100 bagels all of different kinds. He didn't have any cream cheese or peanut butter, but he did have a bottle of ranch dressing. So we spent the night eating bagels covered in ranch dressing.....even the raisin ones.

People are so stupid...why would you do that to yourself? It's the Jacka$$ phenomena where, it's cool to hurt yourself...or throw up in public.

Unfortunately I cannot disclose who it is I work for, that would violate the contract I signed my soul away to. These ideas are great. I get torn on how to react to the situation. He's kind of apathetic about the whole thing, it kind of ticks me off. Plus who the hell doesn't have a favorite food!! I mean really you can't tell me what you love to eat! are you human?

I guess I feel like his mom, except your mom can put food down in front of you and say "that's what's for dinner, eat it or don't eat anything." but I don't get that privilege. I guess I'm just disappointed. When I got hired to cook I was really excited and then I found out that I get a blank check, not to buy cool and unusual ingredients and make great amazing dishes that I would never otherwise have the funds to make but to cook chicken nuggets for a rich picky eater WHO WON"T TELL ME ANYTHING. sorry, only you guys would understand the frustration.

There is an amazing Delia Smith recipe for cous cous salad. It's made of roasted vegetables: eggplant, cherry tomatoes, fennel, red pepper, yellow pepper and onion. mixed into the cous cous with basil, goats cheese and a sauce made up of tomato paste, cumin, olive oil, lime juice and a little cayanne. YUM! always a winner.

I bought a pickle ornament a little while ago. I graduated college from the north carolina school of the arts. It's a crazy little school, our mascot was a fighting pickle...thus the pickle ornament. It makes me smile:)

If you are going through NC and you see ANY sign for cookout PULL OVER!! and then order a cook out style burger tray with hushpuppies and cajun fries and a milkshake. You will be in heaven and I somewhere will be envious of you.

Oh I have such a good one. I had this AMAZING acting teacher from Russia. She told me when she first came to the U.S with her husband to do work in NYC she went out to a cafe for a lunch break and she saw a sign for 'root beer' in the window and she thought that a beer would be really nice with lunch. So she ordered it. She said, and I quote "It tasted like I was licking my dead grandmother". She always had such a way with words, but that one was a winner.

I love them both equally for different reasons. But if it's mayo it has to be Dukes, nothing beats it, it's as close to home made as you can buy.

Horseradish, tabasco, worcestershire sauce, fresh ground pepper and celery. Cheers:) oh and vodka...duh.

I had no idea there were so many wonderful ways to eat ramen. I always just cooked it the way it said. I guess I'm not creative enough. hmmmmm now I want ramen.
