favorite stoned snack
one night when I was in college, my best guy friend and I were wandering the hallways stoned when we walked past a dorm room where the door was open. Inside was three HUGE clear recycling bags of bagels. We both walked past the door by about five feet before we stopped and looked at each other to make sure we weren't seeing things, and then back tracked and peeked inside the room again. There was a girl sitting on her computer surrounded by these bags. She looked up and we asked her where she got the bagels, she explained that she had just come from a fund raiser where Panera had donated the food and these were the left over the bagels....did we want a bag? so we crashed back into my friends dorm room with a bag of about 100 bagels all of different kinds. He didn't have any cream cheese or peanut butter, but he did have a bottle of ranch dressing. So we spent the night eating bagels covered in ranch dressing.....even the raisin ones.

I don't know if this is relevant or is of interest of anyone but there was a great book recently written called "Street Gang: The Complete History of Sesame Street" by Michael Davis. It's all about where Sesame Street came from, how it was conceived, Jim Henson's part in it, his earlier work etc. Anyway there's a chapter in the book that talks about the coffee commercials. I love Sesame Street, my dad gave me the book for Christmas, it's a really interesting read.

Bare burger down the street from Sweet Afton has ammmmmmazing burgers. Love love love Sweet Afton. Blackbirds on 30th and 41st st is one of my favorite bars, they have great beer and fantastic food. Even though it has a stupid name Winegasm is a great wine bar, thats on 37th street and Broadway. I always enjoy Brick cafe, 33rd st and 31st ave, for a chill dinner and a glass of wine.
But seriously, for burgers, try Bare Burger, it is out of this world great.
