In Videos: Personalized, Customized Cup of Instant Ramen Noodles

Is this at the Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum? I was bummed because we visited towards the end of their operating day and this part shut down earlier than the rest of the museum. There were these puffy air sleeves offered to protect the precious styrofoam.

Where to Get Clam Pizza in NYC

I know I'm in the minority but that Franny's clam pie was really disappointing. Maybe it was an off night for them, it was bland and tasted mostly of parsley.

Win Tix to the SWEETest Event Ever at the New York City Wine & Food Fest

the root beer float at stone park cafe hits the spot except when they run out of virgil's and substitute it with olde brooklyn. can't go wrong with the bittersweet chocolate pudding at great jones either.

General Greene Burger Has 70-30 Meat-to-Fat Ratio!

that makes a lot of sense. our burger was overcooked to well done yet was incredibly juicy. and those chips on the side? from a bag.

Restaurant Shirts Are the New Concert Tee

The Spotted PIg shirts that Bourdain sported on a recent No Reservations were pretty ugly.

For me, the classic New York restaurant/food t is a toss-up between Chinatown Ice Cream Factory, Wo Hop and Sammy's Roumanian.

Nathan's: Another Epic New York Food Line

the last time i was at this nathan's, the cashier just completely disappeared in the middle of putting together someone's order for like 8 minutes. she just left. you'll get in a short line and think you've lucked out until you get a little closer and can see the cashier in motion and realize you are in deep shit. by then, you've already invested so much time waiting in this line that you won't want to move to another one since it'll be twice as long. and the mustard dispensers are disasters, too.

still, the nathan's line may only be my 2nd least favorite one. any line at shea stadium pretty much takes the cake. the food service workers there are models of absolute inefficiency.

Paul's Da Burger Joint

i haven't been to paul's in years, but i really liked this place even if i once got a mushroom burger that included a large piece of the cardboard box the mushrooms were delivered in.

loved the bowl of pickles, but i remember their fries being limp and soggy. oh and this was definitely a splurge for a poor college kid circa 1997. b&h dairy next doors was the more economical option.

Vintage Cereal Box Gallery

i highly recommend picking up a copy of Krazy Kid's Food by Dan Goodsell. it's one of those journal sized Taschen titles and filled with one fantastic image after another.

Time for a Drink: Presbyterian

i had a couple of these at coco500 (aka jen from top chef 4's restaurant) the other week. they go down nice and easy.

Cook the Book: Asian Flavors of Jean-Georges

impossible to pick just one! kimchi fried rice, a nice bowl of ramen, sujebi and pho tai make my list.

'Next Iron Chef': The Finale

aside from the finale, this show was completely unwatchable. why even bother having female or non-white competitors, when you know they're going to be kicked off first.

alton brown gets douchier every day. glad to see michael symon get the victory. besh is a little too bobby flay for me - same tricks thrown on a plate with a side of overwhelming arrogance over and over.

What was your last "free" food or beverage?

my eggs and grits were comped the other week at brunch because i found a piece of twine in the grits. prior to that i went to a sake tasting thrown by jfc and they handed out really nice gift bags filled with lots of snacks and samples - shrimp chips, miso, soy milk, etc...

America's Best Hot Dog Town: Cast Your Vote

Typical that Bourdain would prefer Hirams.

Best Find from Trader Joes?

chicken enchiladas, potstickers and triple ginger cookies! also like their trader grotto's sauce with sausage.
